Core Message Canvas — Vinyl Wrap
Version: 1.0 — 2026-04-23
Avatar alignment: Primarily Avatar 2 (Enthusiast/Expressionist)
Offer tier: Entry to Core (partial wraps entry, full wraps core)
Strategic note: AutoCore is narrowing the wrap funnel toward Colored PPF upsell. Pure vinyl wrap is the "Option A" in a two-option presentation. Always paired against colored PPF.
The Big Idea
"Transform your vehicle in any colour or finish you can imagine — fully reversible, installed by Ottawa's master craftsmen, using premium 3M and Avery films."
Problem Statement
Your vehicle looks... fine. But it's not you. The factory colour is generic. You see 50 others just like yours every week. You want a vehicle that turns heads, reflects your personality, or just something different — but you don't want to permanently repaint and wreck resale value.
Vinyl wrap is the answer that existed long before colored PPF. It's proven. It works. And done right, it transforms the vehicle completely.
Done wrong, it's a nightmare — bubbles, lifting edges, fading in 2 years, peeling around trim. The difference is materials + installer skill, not price.
Qualifiers
This IS for:
- Avatar 2 (Enthusiast/Expressionist) buyers who want transformation
- Budget-conscious transformation buyers ($3,499-$4,999 range, below colored PPF)
- Weekend / show car owners (less highway driving = less impact protection needed)
- Buyers who want to change often (wraps are more easily re-wrapped than colored PPF)
- Partial-wrap buyers (hood, roof, accent panels) — entry to the wrap world
This is NOT for:
- Daily highway drivers who'll accumulate rock chips through a wrap → recommend colored PPF
- Buyers wanting 10+ years of finish durability → colored PPF
- Buyers who want matte/satin-finish protection with self-healing → colored PPF
- Fleet branding (too complex / less durable) → recommend branded wraps with paint-protection underlayer
Unique Mechanism (WHY AutoCore specifically)
1. Premium material partners
- 3M — industry standard, widest colour selection, reliable
- Avery Dennison — superior conformability, unique colours
- HEXIS, KPMF, INOZOTEK — specialty finishes, unique textures
Most shops use one brand. AutoCore carries all the premiums so we can match the colour you actually want, not just what's available in the one brand we stock.
2. Craftsman install process
- Design consultation with in-house graphic designer
- Mockup render of your specific vehicle before commit
- Disassembly of trim, handles, badges for clean wrapping
- Computer-cut patterns combined with hand-trimming for complex curves
- 3-4 day install (full wrap); 1-2 days (partial)
3. 5-7 year durability on 3M/Avery films
- Compare to cheap import films that fail in 2-3 years
- Self-healing tops on premium satin options
- Color-stable under UV (no premature fading)
4. Reversibility
- Pull the wrap years later, original paint is pristine underneath
- Resale value of factory-paint vehicle preserved
5. AutoCore's production-room environment
- New shop at 1891 Merivale Rd includes dedicated install bays
- Dust-controlled, temperature-controlled — matters enormously for wrap adhesion
- Most small shops wrap in garage / open bay environments, which is why their work peels faster
Statement of Value
Primary
- Any color, any finish, any vision — brought to life on your vehicle
- Factory paint stays original and perfect underneath
- Turn heads. Be unique. Love your car every time you walk up to it.
- Reversible — change direction in 5 years or revert to original for resale
Secondary
- Protects paint from minor abrasion and UV (not impact, but better than unprotected)
- Custom design service included (no extra charge for standard layouts)
- Instagram portfolio potential (AutoCore showcases great wrap work)
- 3-4 day turnaround

Objection Library
"That's more than I expected for just vinyl"
Response: "Fair — compared to imported / cheaper films, it's a premium. The reason is the film itself. The cheap stuff fails in 2-3 years. 3M and Avery last 5-7. So you're paying more up front to wrap once instead of twice. Plus our install process (disassembly, computer cuts, hand trim) is different from a shop that just stretches film over trim."
"What if I want to go back to original?"
Response: "Pull the wrap, original paint is perfect underneath. No ghosting, no adhesive residue we can't remove. This is actually why some buyers prefer wrap over paint — full reversibility."
"Will it peel or bubble?"
Response: "On premium film installed in a proper environment by a trained crew? Basically no. The failures you see online are almost always cheap film + garage install. Our shop is dust-controlled and our juniors train under Alex for months before touching a customer wrap. We'll show you examples of our 2-year-old wraps still perfect."
"Why not just paint it?"
Response: "Three reasons. [1] Paint is permanent — wrap is reversible. [2] Paint reduces resale value by 5-15% if the color change doesn't align with buyer demand. [3] Paint costs $8K-$15K for quality work. Full wrap is $3,500-$5,000. You get transformation without locking yourself in or breaking the bank."
"Why not colored PPF instead?"
Response: "Honest answer — if budget allows, colored PPF is better for a daily driver. 8-mil thick, self-healing, 10-year warranty, real impact protection. Vinyl wrap is perfect if you want the look at a lower price point, or it's a weekend/show car with lower highway exposure. Both are great products for different use cases."
"I want to see it before I commit"
Response: "Absolutely. We do a Blender-rendered mockup of your exact vehicle in the color and finish you're considering — zero guesswork. Send me a few photos of your car and what colors you're drawn to, and I'll have the mockup over within 24-48 hours."
