Today's Focus

Coaching carry-forward
Your One Focus Today

When a prospect says "too pricey," ask what they were expecting before ending the conversation.

One question keeps the door open. Most price objections aren't about the number — they're about the gap between what they expected and what they heard. Finding the gap gives you a path to close or downsell.

Apply it today: When you talk to Colette, try this. She said "let me talk to my husband" after the $349 RAV4 quote — that's often code for price hesitation. The recap text gives her husband a number to react to, and if he pushes back, ask what they had in mind.

Priority Follow-Ups

9 leads need your attention

#1 · Colette +1 (231) 638-3867

Quoted 0 days
Phone · Toyota RAV4 · Showroom $349
Phone call yesterday (1m32s). RAV4, selling it. Quoted Showroom $349. Said "let me talk to my husband." No post-call text sent yet.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hi Colette, it's Oliver from Athay Auto Studio. Quick recap from our call — the full interior + exterior detail to get the RAV4 sale-ready is $349. We come to you, takes about 2.5-3 hours. I've got spots open today and tomorrow. Let me know!"
Why She has NO written record of the quote — just a 92-second phone call. Her husband needs a number to react to, not a verbal summary. The text gives them both something concrete.

#2 · Kelley +1 (832) 704-2055

Quoted 0 days
SMS · Corolla · Odor Slayer $279
Day 2. Cat urine on Corolla. Probed on price, got emotional context (cat passed). Discounted Odor Slayer to $279. She wanted to try DIY carpet shampooer first.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Kelley — just checking in. Cat urine soaks into the padding underneath the carpet, which is what keeps the smell coming back even after surface cleaning. The odor treatment targets that source layer. And if I can't get it out, you get a full refund. The $279 still stands whenever you're ready."
Why Her carpet shampooer likely didn't fully work — cat urine in padding requires extraction, not surface cleaning. The guarantee close removes the remaining risk. Price already committed at $279.

#3 · Carlos +1 (713) 291-5922

Quoted 0 days
SMS · 2015 Nissan Sentra · Executive $479 / Stain Slayer $389
Day 1. Fabric stains on seats and doors. Quoted Executive $479 / Stain Slayer $389. No response after quote.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Carlos — here's a quick before/after on a similar interior stain extraction. The process gets into the fabric layers where surface cleaning can't reach. Want me to set up a time this week?"
Why Stain prospects need visual proof. A before/after photo makes the $389 tangible. Follow up with value, not "just checking in."

#4 · Cameron +1 (346) 441-8736

Quoted 0 days
SMS · 2021 + 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (his + mom's) · $339 each / $678 total
Day 1. Two Grand Cherokees. Quoted $339 each. Shopping around. Probed — no response to probe yet.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Cameron — for two Grand Cherokees, I can do both on the same day so you don't have to coordinate two separate appointments. $339 each, $678 total. I come to you. Want me to set up a day this week?"
Why He's comparing prices. The differentiator is convenience — both cars done same day at his location. No competitor offers that.

#5 · Victoria +1 (361) 834-7086

High Value 0 days
SMS · Pickup Truck · Executive $479 / Showroom $369 · Monthly OD
Day 1. Pickup truck, details monthly (clear OD). Dry drink spills. Quoted Executive $479 / Showroom $369. No response.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Victoria — since you detail monthly, I can set you up on a regular schedule after this first visit. The Showroom at $369 covers the full detail including those drink spills. Want me to set up a time this week?"
Why Monthly at $369 = $4,428/year. Lead with the recurring angle — she's not deciding whether to get a detail, she's deciding whether you're her regular detailer.

#6 · Heather +1 (832) 299-8800

Last Chance 11 days
SMS · Kia Cadenza (smoke odor) + Kia Santa Fe (wash) · Bundle $515
Day 11. Quoted $515 bundle on Mar 10. Callback window well past.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Heather — just one more check-in on the Kia. The smoke odor treatment is something I'm really confident about — if I can't get it out, full refund. I have a couple spots this week. Let me know if you're ready!"
Why Day 11. Last follow-up attempt. Guarantee close is the strongest tool for odor skeptics. If no response, this lead is effectively dead per S41.
Aging 11 days without a reply. This is your final touch — guarantee close or let go.

#7 · Korey +1 (936) 235-5445

Discovery 1 day
SMS · Vehicle unknown · Not yet quoted
Day 1. Responded "trying to get quotes." Oliver asked Q2 with 1.5hr delay. No response from Korey yet.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey Korey — just following up! To get you the most accurate quote, what kind of vehicle is it and anything specific going on with it?"
Why He never answered Q2. Re-ask in a single message so he can respond with everything at once.

#8 · William +1 (469) 507-1403

Referral 1 day
SMS · Jeep · Concrete specks · Outside scope
Day 1. Construction worker, concrete specks on Jeep. Oliver internal note "not doable, pass." No response sent.
Send This · tap to copy
"Hey William — concrete specks are tricky and outside what we typically handle with detailing. I'd recommend a paint correction specialist for that. If you ever need a regular detail on the Jeep though, I'm here!"
Why Even when you can't do the job, respond. A helpful referral costs nothing and leaves a positive impression. Zero response = lost reputation.

#9 · David +1 (346) 218-0831

New Lead 1 day
Auto · Vehicle unknown · Not yet quoted
Auto messages only. No response from prospect. Day 1.
Send This · tap to copy
"No follow-up needed yet — give it 24 hours for a response to auto messages."
Why Standard patience window for auto-only contacts. If no reply by tomorrow, send a personal intro text.

"Hey Dr. Gilliam — it's been about 3 weeks since the last detail on the Rolls. For the recurring plan we talked about, I can do every 2 weeks at $369/visit or weekly at $299/visit. Want me to lock you in for this week?"
Why He's an enthusiast with a Rolls Royce — exactly the profile for recurring service. Oliver already planted the seed at completion. Follow through now before the momentum fades at 3 weeks out.
